Use this panel to configure global settings for IVR applications.
There are options that:
- Apply only globally, so all the voice application instances inherit these settings (e.g., "Send start accounting").
- Apply globally, but can be overridden for specific application instances (e.g., "Default input timeout"). For example, when a user accesses a voice application through a designated entry point, such as 12125551234, the application's configuration takes effect. If the user accesses the application by dialing their own extension, the global configuration applies.
Confirm input by pressing the pound key (#)
Enable this option for IVR applications to require users to press the pound key (#) to confirm their input.
This setting can be overridden for specific application instances.
Default input timeout, sec
Specify how long (in seconds) the system waits for user input before proceeding to the next action.
This setting can be overridden for specific application instances.
Initial pause, sec
Specify an initial delay (in seconds) before the prompt starts playing for IVRs. It prevents the first words from being cut off due to network delays or the caller adjusting their phone.
This setting can only be defined globally.
Send start accounting
Enable this option for the system to send the “Start Accounting” RADIUS request when the IVR application initiates an outgoing call.
This setting can only be defined globally.
