On this tab, you can manage the customer's credit limit.

Permanent credit limit

This is the customer's credit limit. Once this limit is reached, PortaBilling suspends the services for the customer. This prevents the customer from going into overdraft.

Typically, you define the customer's credit limit when you create the customer. Here you can change it or set a limit if you didn't do it before.

Temporary increase

You can temporarily increase your customer's credit limit, e.g., to grant access to the service based on payment confirmation details even if the payment did not yet arrive.

Specify the credit limit increase either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the current limit.

Specify the date and time for when an increased credit limit value will automatically revert to a permanent state. Click Calendar calendar-1 to set the date.

To delete the temporary increase in the credit limit, click Remove temporary increase.

You can define a credit limit warning threshold for the customer. Specify the warning threshold either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the credit limit amount. When the customer's balance reaches the threshold, the customer receives a notification.

To define several thresholds, click Add Add.

To delete a threshold, click Delete cancel.

Credit limit history

Here you can see information about changes made to the customer's credit limit (e.g., increases, decreases, temporary increases, etc.):

This section displays all changes made to the customer's credit limit (for example, increases, decreases, and temporary limit adjustments). For each change, you can see:

  • The timestamp of the change
  • The credit limit value after the change
  • The action type (e.g., Credit limit increase)
  • The validity period for a temporary credit limit increase
    • If the value is “Unlimited,” it means the permanent credit limit was modified.
  • The login of the admin who made the change
