Add a template

Specify a template name here.

Select the specific type that the template is used for:

• Invoice – to define the way .pdf invoices look.
• Rate download – to define a file structure for rate download.

Specify whether the template is managed by an administrator or a specific reseller.

Specify how the invoice template should be created:

• Design the layout in the built-in visual editor – to create an invoice template using the built-in WYSIWYG Layout Designer.

• Upload a custom HTML template – to create an invoice template by uploading a custom template file, prepared using the Template Toolkit syntax.

  Click Drop a file or browse for it field or Browse to upload a new file. Select a file of supported file formats for upload: tt, tmpl, html, or htm.

• Design the layout in the external visual editor – to create an invoice template and generate invoices using an external service integrated via Add-On Mart. To use this option, you need an active subscription to the corresponding Add-on Mart module (currently, the module for the CraftMyPDF service is available). If you would like to integrate a template service of your choice, contact our sales team.

For invoice templates created in the built-in editor, choose the level of invoice detail:

• Totals only – this is a traditional-style invoice that consists of a single page with an invoice header (your company name, customer name, etc.), invoice fields (invoice number, invoice date), and an invoice footer (subtotal, total).
• Service usage details included – this template’s first page is identical to the Totals only template. It contains multiple pages that detail all of the charges included in the invoice.
• Service usage details + subtotal per service – this template has multiple pages that detail all of the charges included in the invoice. In addition to details of services used, this invoice contains subtotals calculated per every service.

For invoice templates created in the external visual editor, select a template that was previously created via the external service.

Indicates a file format of the Rate download template:

• Text CSV (.csv) – the template is in the .csv format.
• Microsoft Excel 1997-2003 (.xls, .xlsx) – the template is in the .xls or .xlsx format.

The tariff type defines the default set of data fields in the template.

• Normal – the default template for rate download.
• Quantity-based – the rate download template for a tariff used for quantity-based services (IPTV, messaging service, data service, etc.).
• Routing – the rate download template for a vendor tariff with routing enabled.
