Custom data search
Use the Custom data search panel to find a specific custom data field. Specify one or more search criteria and click Apply filters. Click Default filters to reset the search criteria to their initial values (as they were when you first opened the Custom data search panel).
Name
Filter custom fields by name. Type in a name for the custom field.
Object
Filter custom fields by the entity they apply to:
- Select Any to search among custom fields that apply to the customer, account, and SIM card entities.
- Select Customer to search only among custom fields that apply to customers.
- Select Account to search only among custom fields that apply to accounts.
- Select SIM card to search only among custom fields that apply to SIM cards.
Type
Filter custom fields by the format of the data they store:
- Select Any to search among custom fields regardless of their format.
- Select Text to search among custom fields that store simple text.
- Select Number to search among custom fields that store numbers.
- Select Date to search among custom fields that store dates.
- Select Date & time to search among custom fields that store dates with a time component.
- Select List to search among custom fields that represent a list of fields.
Mandatory
Filter custom fields by their mandatory parameter.
- Select Any to search among both mandatory and non-mandatory custom fields.
- Select Yes to search among mandatory custom fields.
- Select No to search among non-mandatory custom fields.
Visible to end users
Filter custom fields by their visibility to end users.
- Select Any to search among both visible and invisible custom fields.
- Select Yes to only search among visible custom fields.
- Select No to only search among invisible custom fields.
Audit log
On the Audit log panel, you can track and browse through changes made to this entity.
Add custom data
Here you can create fields for storing custom data (e.g., extra user information such as the marketplace where the SIM cards are offered). Note that to show custom data fields for customer or account entities, these fields should be enabled via a customer class.
To add a new custom data field, click +Add on the Custom data list panel and fill in the details. To save the custom data field, click Save. To create more custom data fields, click Save & Add a copy.
Name
Type in a descriptive name for the custom field (e.g., Marketplace). This field then appears on the Customer/Account/SIM card panel.
Object
Select whether the custom field applies to a customer, account, or SIM card.
Type
Select the format of the data that is stored in this field. Note that once a custom field is created, its format cannot be changed:
- Text – select this format for a simple text (e.g., a description). By default, this field is empty and can contain up to 255 symbols. Change the default settings here:
- Minimum length – type the minimum number of symbols (e.g., 5).
- Maximum length – type the maximum number of symbols (e.g., 20).
- Default value – type the text to be shown in this field when a customer, account, or SIM card is created.
- Number – select this format for numbers (e.g., 10). By default, this field is empty and can contain numbers from 0 up to a quadrillion. Change the default settings here:
- Minimum value – type in the smallest possible number. Any number less than this will be rejected. For example, if you type 5, it will not be possible to enter numbers from 0 to 4.
- Maximum value – type in the greatest possible number. (e.g., 100). This restricts numbers such as 105, 202, etc. from being entered.
- Decimal place – the number of digits to the right of the decimal point (e.g., 5.25 has 2 decimal places).
- Monetary – select the checkbox to add currency values.
- Default value – type the number to be displayed in this field when a customer, account, or SIM card is created.
- Date – select this format for dates. By default, this field is empty and can contain any date. Change the default settings here :
- Date & time – select this format for dates with time. By default, this field is empty and can contain any date and time. Change the default settings here:

List – select this format to create a list of options within the custom field. Type in the option names and their values.
- Name – type in the name of the option that can be selected within the custom field on a customer/account/SIM card panel.
- Value – type in the value that corresponds to this option. Note that this value is not displayed on a customer/account/SIM card panel.
- Default value – select the default option for this custom field.
Mandatory
By default, custom fields are optional and can be filled in at any time for an existing customer, account, or SIM card. To make this custom field mandatory and display it during customer, account, or SIM card creation, turn on this toggle.
Visible to end users
Some custom fields store information that is needed for support and troubleshooting and must not be shown to end users. However, information such as a marketplace, driving license ID, etc., can be useful for an admin and an end user.
Turn on this toggle switch to allow end users to see and edit this custom field on their self-care interfaces.
Contains personal data
Enable this option to anonymize your user’s personal data (e.g., driver’s license or insurance ID) for your staff members who, according to GDPR, are not allowed to access it.
