Distributor search

Use the Distributor search panel to find a specific distributor. Specify one or more of the search criteria listed below and click Apply filters. If you want to stop the search, press “Esc” on the keyboard or click Stop . Click Default filters to reset search criteria to their initial values.

To refresh the search results, click Reload data.

PortaBilling automatically loads the list of records once you open the page. You can turn off data autoload if you don’t want all records to load each time you open the page. To disable data autoload, click Settings and clear the check mark for the Automatically start searching upon opening the page option. When the check mark is absent, the list of records won’t load until you click Apply filters. If the search result contains a single record, you can open it automatically by choosing the If the search produces a single result, automatically open it option.

Filter distributors by name and other fields, e.g., billing address, login, phone, etc. By default, the quick search is performed only by name.

Select filtering options

To include or exclude the search criteria, click Change and select/clear the checkboxes:

• Name – the name of the distributor
• Login – the login to the distributor’s portal
• First name – the first name of the distributor
• Last name – the last name of the distributor
• Billing address – the distributor’s billing address
• City – the city where the distributor is located
• Phone – the phone number of the distributor
• Postal code – the postal code of the distributor
• Email – the distributor’s email address
• Company name – the distributor’s company name
• Contact – the name of the distributor’s main contact
• Alternative contact – an additional contact person

  

Once the filtering options are selected, the changes are automatically saved and applied to the next searches.

Select matching mode

By default, PortaBilling searches for distributors by their data that starts with your input.  To change the matching mode for a specific filter, click Matching mode  and select the relevant mode to filter distributors records by distributor data that:

• Contains – contains your input (anywhere in the name).
• Starts with – starts with your input.
• Ends with –  ends with your input.
• Exactly matches – exactly matches your input.

Filter distributors by their type.

• Select All distributors to search among your distributors and distributors of your resellers.
• Select Direct distributors to display distributors who deal directly with your company.
• Select distributors of the reseller to search among distributors of your resellers.

Filter distributors by the currency they use.

• Select Any to display all distributors regardless of the currency they use.
• Select Currency name to display distributors who uses a particular currency.

Filter distributors by customer class.

• Select Any to search among distributors for whom any customer class is assigned.
• Select Currency name to display distributors who have a particular customer class assigned.

Select the reseller name to filter distributors of this reseller. This field only appears when you select Distributors of the reseller type.

To obtain more precise results, click to open advanced search criteria. To change the matching mode for this field, click Matching mode  and select the relevant option to filter distributor records by the distributor data that:

• Contains – contains your input (anywhere in a value).
• Starts with – starts with your input.
• Ends with – ends with your input.
• Exactly matches – exactly matches your input.

  

Filter distributors by status:

• Select Any to search among distributors with any status.
• Select Any except terminated to display all distributors except those having the Permanently terminated status.
• Select Open to display distributors who can operate without any restrictions.
• Select Provisionally terminated to filter distributors who don’t have access to any operations but who can be reactivated.
• Select Permanently terminated to display distributors who have no access to any operations and can not be reactivated.
• Select Suspended to display distributors who currently do not have access to operations because of an overdue invoice.
• Select Payment frozen to display distributors whose auto-payments have been suspended due to repeated errors (e.g., credit card cancellation).
• Select Exported to display distributors whose data has been transferred to a new PortaSwitch installation. For such distributors, service provisioning and billing are stopped in the source system.
• Select Credit limit exceeded to display distributors whose current balance is higher than the credit limit value.

Filter distributors by their representative. Representatives work on behalf of the company, selling services for a commission that is paid by the service provider.

Other search criteria in this section relate to the distributor contact information and are self-explanatory. You can also search distributors by the information defined in custom fields. Fill in the respective search criteria fields.

Search distributors by the custom data you specified for them in custom fields. To change the matching mode for this field, click Matching mode and select the relevant option to filter distributor records by distributor data that:

• Starts with – starts with your input.
