Here you can view bundle details and continue with the bundle item configuration.
The bundles without bundle items are marked as Drafts
. You can’t assign a draft to any entity. The draft status lifts after you add at least one bundle item and save your changes.
Name
This is the bundle’s name. You can see it in the bundle list.
Currency
This is the currency used for billing calculations. You can set a currency during the bundle creation and cannot change it later.
Bundle type
This is the bundle’s type:
- Renewable by calendar – the bundle provides services to postpaid customers for a periodic subscription fee, with automatic renewals based on a calendar cycle, regardless of the customer’s balance or any unsettled invoices. Customers can continue to use the allocated service volumes until their services are suspended.
- One-off with top-ups – the bundle provides one-time allowances of specific services that can be used until they are depleted, with the option to “top up” (“recharge”) an allowance as needed.
- Balance-dependent renewable – the bundle is used for prepaid services, with activation and renewal dependent on the customer’s balance (activation and renewal are only possible if the customer has sufficient funds).
- Legacy (former volume discount plan) – the bundle includes “quotas” and “service wallets.”
You can choose a type during the bundle creation and cannot change it later.
Automatic renewal
This is the bundle’s automatic renewal setting.
For the Balance-dependent renewable type it can be:
- On sufficient funds – this option allows auto-renewal of the prepaid bundle. When your customers have enough funds on their balance, PortaBilling will automatically charge the renewal fee on the last day of the active bundle lifecycle.
- Never – this means that the auto-renewal is disabled for this bundle.
For bundles of the Renewable by calendar, One-off with top-ups, and Legacy (former volume discount plan) type, the only available setting is Set per item.
You cannot change the automatic renewal setting for the created bundle.
Code group set
This is the name of the code group set associated with this bundle. Click on the name of the code group set to open the details.
You can only choose a code group set during the bundle creation and cannot change it later.
Apply bundle if a rate code is found that
This describes how PortaBilling determines which bundle item is applicable. PortaBilling can search for the matching rate code in the bundle item using either the rate earlier selected in the tariff or the rate pattern. If the matching rate code is found, the corresponding bundle item applies.
- Matches the rate exactly (default) – a bundle item applies only if the code group associated with the bundle item contains exactly the same rate code as the one picked in the tariff for rating.
With the Matches the rate exactly lookup type, you can ensure that the bundle item doesn’t apply to incoming calls by excluding the rate codes used for incoming calls in the tariff in the code group associated with the bundle item.
- Matches or covers the rate – the rate code in the code group associated with the bundle item can be either equal to or more generic than the rate code in the tariff.
The Matches or covers the rate option is outdated and available for backward compatibility only. We strongly recommend against using it when creating new bundles.
- Matches the rate pattern – when this rate code lookup type is selected for a bundle, PortaBilling doesn’t consider the rate code found in the pay-as-you-go tariff at all. PortaBilling performs the rate code lookup based on the rate pattern.
Use the Matches the rate pattern lookup type with caution, because a bundle item may apply to the incoming calls.
If you a code group set with a defined rate match mode (e.g., Destination) is selected for the bundle, the Matches the rate pattern option is set automatically.

The cloned bundle inherits the code group set, services, and bundle items. You can adjust bundle item details, notifications, and rate code lookup methods.
