Subscriber provisioning

Link copied to clipboard

Subscriber provisioning activates subscribers with corresponding services in the mobile network components (such as HSS or PCRF). When a change occurs in PortaBilling – such as account creation, product change, or suspension due to non-payment – the required configuration changes are applied in the relevant mobile network components.

Provisioning is handled by ESPF (built-in). For faster integration or complex scenarios, PortaOne Workflows (NSPS or Boomi) extends ESPF to handle communication with external systems.

NSPS (New Service Provisioning System) is a cloud-based tool that simplifies provisioning for subscriber updates – such as SIM card activation, plan changes, and service deactivation. It retrieves the necessary data from PortaBilling and delivers it to a network function that is simple to develop. It is available as an Add-on Mart module. See PortaOne Workflows for more details.

Boomi is a low-code integration platform used for complex, multi-step workflows that involve PortaBilling and external business applications, such as CRM, ERP, or accounting systems. It can also act as middleware for ESPF events, receiving them and applying additional business logic before delivering updates to external systems.

Boomi provides hundreds of prebuilt connectors for widely used business applications (Salesforce, HubSpot, SAP, and others), as well as ready-to-use workflow templates for common telecom scenarios. Custom integrations can be built using Boomi's no-code visual interface or low-code scripting.

Boomi runs in the cloud and does not require local installation. The runtime environment can be deployed in cloud infrastructure or on-premises.
