Permanent credit limit

Link copied to clipboard

This is the reseller’s credit limit. Once this limit is reached, PortaBilling suspends the reseller’s services. This prevents the reseller from going into overdraft.

Typically, you define the reseller’s credit limit when you create the reseller. You can change it or set a limit if you haven't already done so.

Temporary increase

Link copied to clipboard

In this section, you can temporarily increase your reseller's credit limit, e.g., to grant access to the service based on payment confirmation details, even if the payment has not yet arrived. The maximum amount by which you can increase the credit limit and the maximum possible duration of this increase depend on the limits defined for you as an administrator. The default limits are defined on the Configuration server web interface via the Max_Temp_Credit_Limit and Max_Valid_Until options.

Select whether to set the temporary credit limit as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the current limit. Specify the credit limit increase in the Temporary credit limit increase field. In the Valid until field, specify the date and time for when an increased credit limit value will automatically revert to a permanent state.

When the credit limit is temporarily increased, you can see the complete information about the current credit limit at the top of the panel.

To delete the temporary increase in the credit limit, click Remove temporary increase.

Warning thresholds

In this section, you can define a credit limit warning threshold for the reseller. Select whether to set the warning threshold either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the credit limit amount. Specify the warning threshold in the Warning threshold field. When the reseller's balance reaches the threshold, the reseller receives a notification.

To define several thresholds, click Add .
