On this tab, you can configure the metrics to measure the resources you allocate to this reseller and define which charges apply to the reseller for resource consumption. You can also browse measured resource statistics in the form of graphs.
Each entry in the Measured services list consists of:
Actions
You can view the statistics, edit, or delete the measured service:
- Click Statistics
to browse resource usage statistics of the resource metric. The Statistics window displays two graphs. The bottom graph displays resource usage data for a 5-day period (e.g., Friday to Wednesday, excluding Sunday) or for the last 6 months, depending on the measured service parameter. The top graph displays a detailed view of resource usage data for a specific time interval selected from those periods. To select a time period, click the start date in the bottom graph and drag the mouse cursor to the finish date. The topmost part of the window provides additional information about the selected metric.
- Click Edit
to edit the parameters of the metrics for a reseller or override the metrics inherited from the customer class. If you want to reset the measured service settings to the default values that were inherited from the customer class, click Reset to customer class defaults. In this case, all the fields get the initial values of the measured service created in the customer class.
- Click Delete
to remove a measured service. Note that you can't delete a measured service inherited from the customer class.

Charge based on
Charges for resource consumption are calculated based on these criteria:
- Do not apply charges – this option is set by default. It means that measured resource data will be used only for statistical purposes.
- Average – at the end of a billing period, PortaBilling collects aggregated measurements and calculates their average, which is then used for calculating a reseller’s charges.
- Maximum – at the end of a billing period, PortaBilling collects aggregated measurements, extracts their maximum value, and uses that to assess a reseller’s charges.
- Minimum – at the end of a billing period, PortaBilling collects aggregated measurements, extracts their minimum value, and uses that to assess a reseller’s charges.
You can define a metric for every measured resource type only once per reseller.
