Add tariff

A tariff is a complete set of rates for a specific customer, vendor, or reseller. A rate is a combination of billing parameters for a specific specific rate code (phone prefix).

To add a new tariff, click +Tariff on the Tariff list panel and fill in the details. To save the tariff, click Save. To save and continue editing the tariff’s details, click Save & Edit details. To create more tariffs, click Save & Add a copy.

Specify the tariff name here.

Select the currency for the tariff. All pricing information within a single tariff must be defined in the same currency.

Select the service this tariff applies to.

For messaging services, select a numbering standard to be used in the tariff:

• E.164 – a universal format for telephone numbers in VoIP telephony which specifies that phone numbers start with a country code followed by the area code.
• E.212 – a standard for identifying mobile networks, using the Mobile Country Code (MCC) and Mobile Network Code (MNC).

Select who will be charged using this tariff:

• Customer – create a tariff to charge your customers.
• Vendor – create a tariff to calculate costs associated with your vendors.
• Reseller – create a tariff to charge your resellers.

This field is only available for tariffs applied to customers. Choose whether the tariff should be managed by an admin or a specific reseller.

This field is only available for tariffs applied to vendors. Choose whether this tariff will participate in the routing. Turn on the toggle to enable routing so that the calls will be routed outside your network. When routing is disabled, this means that calls will be sent to your network. By default, routing is disabled.

Select how to define prices:

• Per individual rate code – choose this option for a standard tariff, where prices are set per rate code (phone prefix or special code). Optionally, you can assign a code group set to the tariff to set prices per code group.
• Per code group (supports CLI+CLD rating) – choose this option for a tariff where the prices can only be set per code group. This option allows you to configure origin-based rates, which include a base price and an extra price that applies based on the call origin.

Select a code group set to enable pricing per code group within that set. For tariffs where prices are defined per individual rate code, this is optional. For tariffs where prices are defined per code group (supports CLI+CLD rating), this is mandatory.

For tariffs where prices are defined per code group (supports CLI+CLD rating), this shows the rate match mode associated with the selected code group set.
