SIM cards search
Use the SIM cards search panel to find a specific SIM card.
Specify one or more of the search criteria listed below and click Apply filters. If you want to stop the search, press “Esc” on the keyboard.
Click Default filters to reset the search criteria to their initial values. To refresh the search results, click Reload data.
IMSI
Filter SIM cards by IMSI. Type a SIM card IMSI here.
ICCID
Filter the SIM cards by their ICCID. Type a SIM card ICCID here.
MSISDN
Filter the SIM cards by their MSISDN. Type a SIM card MSISDN here.
Status
Filter SIM cards by their status.
- Select Any to display SIM cards with any status.
- Select Available to display available SIM cards.
- Select In use to display SIM cards that are already being used by accounts.
- Select Reserved to display SIM cards that have been assigned to customers (e.g., a business customer ordered SIM cards to activate them in the future for the new employees).
- Select Disposed to display SIM cards that have been unassigned from the account and are no longer usable.
Managed by
Filter SIM cards according to whether they are managed by an administrator or a specific reseller.
- Select Any to search among SIM cards managed by administrators and resellers.
- Select Administrator to display SIM cards managed by administrators.
- Select Reseller name to display SIM cards managed by a particular reseller.
Distributor
Filter SIM cards by the distributor assigned.
- Select Any to search among SIM cards regardless of the distributor to which they are assigned.
- To filter SIM cards by a specific distributor, select the distributor from the list or start typing the distributor’s name.
Representative
Filter SIM cards by the representative assigned.
- Select Any to search among SIM cards regardless of the representative to which they are assigned.
- To filter SIM cards by a specific representative, select the representative from the list or start typing the representative’s name.
Customer
Filter SIM cards reserved for a specific customer.
- Select Any to search among SIM cards regardless of the customer to which they are assigned.
- To filter SIM cards by a specific customer, select the customer from the list or start typing the customer’s name.
Custom fields
Filter SIM cards by custom field values (e.g., marketplace name where SIM cards are being offered).
By default, PortaBilling filters SIM cards by custom field values that Start with your input. For more precise search results, click Matching mode to filter SIM cards by the custom field value that:
- Contains – contains your input.
- Starts with – starts with your input.
- Ends with – ends with your input.
- Exactly matches – exactly matches your input.
Add a SIM card
You can add SIM cards manually or bulk upload them from a file.
- To add a new SIM card, click Add in the toolbar, fill in the SIM card information, and click Save. To save and continue editing the SIM card details, click Save & Edit details. To create more SIM cards, click Save & Add a copy.
- To upload SIM cards in bulk, click Upload on the toolbar, attach your file in the Upload SIM Cards dialog, and click Upload. See the file structure in the Upload SIM cards chapter.
General
IMSI
Specify the unique International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) of the card. It must be a maximum of 15 digits.
Managed by
Select whether the SIM card is managed by an administrator or a particular reseller.
ICCID
Specify the SIM card’s unique serial number. You can find this number on the back of the card. The minimum number of numerical characters is 18, the maximum is 22.
Distributor
To allocate a SIM card to a distributor, select their name in the dropdown list.
Representative
To allocate a SIM card to a representative, select their name in the dropdown list.
Customer
To allocate a SIM card to a customer, select their name in the dropdown list. The status of the SIM card will change from “Available” to “Reserved.”
Additional
PIN
This is the default PIN (Personal Identification Number) code for an inactive SIM card.
PUK1
This is a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code used to unblock a SIM card when a user exceeds the limit of attempts to enter a correct PIN code.
PUK2
This is a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code that can be used to enter a self-care portal, such as the Mobile Account Self-Care Portal.
Description
Specify a short description for this SIM card. The maximum length is 255 characters.
Activation code
This is the code for eSIM card activation.
AMF
Specify the authentication code added to the SIM authentication request. The number of hexadecimal characters is 4.
Authentication key
Specify the key that is used during card authentication on the mobile network and for communication encryption between a SIM card and a mobile network. The number of hexadecimal characters is 32.
OPc key
Specify the operator key associated with and stored on this SIM card. The number of hexadecimal characters is 32.
HLR
Shows the home location register name. The maximum number of text characters is 255.
Custom fields
On the Custom fields tab, you can fill in custom fields (e.g., enter the name of the marketplace where the SIM cards are being offered).
You will then be able to filter SIM cards by custom field values, e.g., to check how many active SIM cards are sold via Amazon.
