When a customer has a large number of accounts, managing them individually becomes impractical. Batches allow the administrator to group accounts together for bulk updates, e.g., to change a product or update account settings.
Each batch has a descriptive name that, by default, includes the batch creation date and the account role (for example, 2025-11-25-phone-line-8228 for a batch of phone line accounts).
Batches provide two ways to identify an account: by account ID, or by a combination of batch name and control number, which is a sequential number assigned to each account within the batch.
When creating accounts, the administrator can either place them in a new batch or add them to an existing one. In addition to easier account tracking, batches make it easier to update multiple accounts at once.
A batch always belongs to one customer. Therefore, it cannot contain accounts from different customers, and batches with the same name cannot exist under different customers.
Accounts can also be created without being assigned to a batch. This is typically done when only a small number of accounts are expected under a customer. Such accounts can be assigned to a batch later.
Batch account update
The Batch account update function allows the administrator to apply new settings to multiple accounts at once. For example, it can be used to assign a different product to all accounts in a batch.
To update multiple accounts, filter the batch to be modified and specify the required settings on the Batch account update panel. You can activate or block accounts, adjust their balance, assign products, and modify other settings for the entire batch or for specific accounts within it.
You can select individual accounts by the control number or filter them by additional criteria, such as registration status.
After you click Update accounts, the confirmation dialog shows the applied filters and the settings to be updated for your final review.
