Permanent credit limit

This is the distributor’s credit limit. Once this limit is reached, PortaBilling suspends access to the distributor's operations. This limits your risk of loss in case the distributor goes out of business.

Typically, you define the credit limit when you create the distributor. Here you can change it or set a limit if you didn’t do that before.

Temporary increase

Link copied to clipboard

In this section, you can temporarily increase your distributor's credit limit, e.g., to grant access to the service based on payment confirmation details, even if the payment has not yet arrived.

Specify the credit limit increase either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the current limit. In the Valid until field, specify the date and time for when an increased credit limit value will automatically revert to a permanent state.

When the credit limit is temporarily increased, you can see the complete information about the current credit limit at the top of the panel.

To delete the temporary increase in the credit limit, click Remove temporary increase.

Warning thresholds

In this section, you can define a credit limit warning threshold for the distributor. Specify the warning threshold either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the credit limit amount. When the distributor's balance reaches the threshold, the distributor receives a notification.

To send several thresholds, define several thresholds. Click Add Add and enter a value.

To delete a threshold, click Delete Remove.

In this section, you can see information about changes made to the distributor's credit limit (e.g., increases, decreases, temporary increases, etc.).

This information includes:

  • A timestamp for the change.
  • The ID of the administrative user who made the change.
  • The credit limit value after the change.
  • A valid time for a temporary limit increase. Unlimited value means that the permanent credit limit was changed.
  • Comments about changes.
