Event handlers

The Event handlers panel displays matching event handlers that match your search criteria.

To add an event handler, click +Event handler and fill in the details. To edit an event handler, click its name in the list.

To delete a specific event handler, click Delete .

Specify one or more search criteria and click Search. If you want to stop the search, press “Esc” on the keyboard or click Stop on the search panel.

Click Default filters to reset search criteria to the initial values. To refresh the search results, click Reload data. PortaBilling automatically loads the list of event handlers, once you open the page. You can turn off data autoload if you don’t want all the event handlers to load each time you open the page. To disable data autoload, click Settings and clear the check mark for the Automatically start searching upon opening the page option. When the check mark is absent, the event handlers won’t load until you click Search.

Each time there’s a single event handler in the search results, PortaBilling can open this event handler page automatically. To configure this, click Settings and select the If the search produces a single result, automatically open it checkmark.

Filter event handlers by name. Type an event handler name fully or partially.

• Select Any to search for event handlers regardless of the type, or
• Select a specific event handler type from the dropdown list (start typing to find the needed one).

Filter event handlers by status.

• Select Any to search among event handlers with any status.
• Select Enabled to search among active event handlers.
• Select Disabled to search among event handlers that are not active at the moment and are shown for informational purposes only.

Each entry in the event handler list consists of:

The name of the event handler, which is also a link that redirects you to the event handler page.

The type of event handler.

Check mark indicates that this event handler is active. It means that this handler captures changes in PortaBilling and sends provisioning events to the external system. If the check mark is absent, the corresponding event handler is inactive (it can be enabled later).

Shows the total number of events available for subscription for the event handler.

Shows the number of events the handler is subscribed to.

• Change table settings – click Settings in the title bar to customize columns and change row style.
• Re-order the columns – drag-and-drop the column headers right or left to place the columns in the order you want.
• Re-order the rows – click Arrow (or ) next to the column header to re-sort the rows. The list panel displays result in alphabetical order. You can re-sort them in the reverse order.
• Change the default number of results globally – use the Number of results drop-down list in the upper right corner to adjust the maximum number of rows that appear on the panel. By default, the panel displays 25 rows. Once the number is changed, it's automatically saved, so the same number of rows is shown for PortaBilling entities, e.g., customer, account, reseller, etc.
