On this tab, you can define the credentials and preferred settings (such as language, time zone, date output/input format, etc.) for the reseller’s portal. You can also assign roles to the reseller, which they can use to provide their employees with individual credentials and role-based permissions to access the reseller portal.
Information
Login
This is the reseller portal login.
Password
This is the reseller portal password. Define it manually or click Generate password
to generate a random, hard-to-guess password.
To show or hide the password, click Show password or Hide password
.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
You can enable 2FA for the reseller, so they will be able to log in to their portal only after entering a one-time password (OTP) in addition to their login and regular password. The OTP is generated by a 2FA application installed on the user’s smartphone, e.g., Google Authenticator.
Select one of the following options in the dropdown list:
- As defined by the customer class – the option configured for the customer class is used.
- Yes – select this option to enable 2FA.
- No – select this option to disable 2FA.
If a user loses access to the 2FA application, click Reset 2FA key.
Allow access only from trusted IP addresses
This ensures that the reseller only accesses the portal from physical locations that you define. For example, you can specify IP addresses that belong to your network. If the reseller tries to log in from outside your network, PortaBilling denies that access, and the reseller can't log in.
Use these formats to permit access from specific IP addresses or networks:
- A single IP address: 10.10.10.1
- A network in IP prefix (slash) notation: 192.168.192.0/24
- An IP address and a netmask: 192.168.192.0/255.255.255.0
Enter multiple definitions by selecting.
API token access
Use API tokens to authenticate reseller applications (e.g., CRM systems, switchboard apps) that are integrated with PortaBilling via the API. The application then uses the combination of the API token and login to establish the API session.
Role
The role assigned to this reseller contains a set of permissions to access the portal’s components: tabs, features, etc. Each reseller is created with a default role. To create a new role, navigate to My company > Roles. Then a new role for the reseller appears in this list for selection.
Time zone
Set the time zone in which to display the date and time values on the reseller portal.
Web interface language
Choose a desired language for the reseller portal.
Output format
Choose how dates and times will be displayed in the reseller portal. This setting controls how information is shown. It does not affect how resellers or reseller individuals must enter dates, times, or both.
Input format
Choose how resellers or reseller individuals should enter dates and times when performing actions in the reseller portal.
Allowed roles
You can add the roles a reseller is allowed to use when creating reseller individuals (users with individual credentials and role-based permissions to access the reseller portal).
To add a new role to the list, click Add
and select the needed role in the dropdown list.
To remove a role from the list, click Delete
. Note that you can only remove the roles that are not yet in use.

You can add reseller individuals to the Reseller individuals list to grant them access to the reseller portal with role-based permissions. For detailed instructions on how to add them, see the Add individual documentation.
Each entry in the Reseller individuals list consists of:

Interface branding
This section allows you to override the default branding of the reseller portal for a specific reseller.
Choose a branding option for the reseller:
- Personalized – choose this option to set a personalized branding for this specific reseller.
- No branding – this option removes any custom branding set at the customer class or environment level and restores the interface of the reseller portal to its default appearance.
- As defined in customer class (default) – this means that the branding option defined at the customer class is used (by default, that option is set to “As defined in company info”).
When the “Personalized” option is selected, click Edit branding, and the following options appear:
HTML file
To brand the interface with your company name and logo, you need to prepare an HTML file containing the company name and the logo image filename.

.
Images
Upload the logo image in one of the supported formats: GIF, JPG, PNG, or SVG. Ensure that the image filename matches what you specified in the HTML file.
To upload your logo image, drag and drop it into the upload area or use Browse
.
To download the image, click on its name. To delete an image, click Delete
.
