The IoT and M2M Portal is a web application where your customers can manage their IoT/M2M accounts.

It provides customers with the following features:

  • SIM card management – tools to activate or deactivate SIM cards, assign service plans, and manage data bundles.IoT Portal add SIM
  • Product management – the ability to view and change service plans assigned to the SIM cards.IoT Portal edit SIM
  • Billing management – dedicated interface for reviewing payment and purchase history, as well as accessing invoices.IoT Portal invoices
  • Dashboard – a clear overview of SIM card details, usage information per SIM card, and usage history.IoT Portal dashboard

To use the portal, share the IoT and M2M Portal link with your customers. They can log in with their PortaBilling web self-care credentials. Once logged in, your customers can start managing their SIM card fleet.

  • Reduced administrative workload on the PortaBilling admins.
  • Each IoT and M2M Portal instance can be fully branded with a custom name, logo, and color scheme, which increases brand awareness.
  •  A single portal instance can be used for an unlimited number of your IoT/M2M customers.

Requirements

  • PortaSwitch system release version starting from MR95
  • Subscription to the IoT and M2M Portal module in the Add-on Mart
  • Two domains:
    • Portal domain (e.g., iotportal.company.com) – will be used in the portal URL your customers open in their browsers.
    • Middleware domain (e.g., middleware.company.com) – will serve internally as a proxy to handle all API requests between the portal and PortaSwitch. It will not be visible to your customers. This proxy will protect your PortaSwitch from overload caused by a high number of concurrent API requests, e.g., in case of malicious activities on the portal.
  • TLS certificates for the portal and middleware domains. Alternatively, these certificates can be generated automatically upon portal configuration.
