Deployment
Can we deploy the CloudPBX portal in our on-premises data center?
The CloudPBX Portal cannot be deployed in an on-premises data center. It is hosted as a web application in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). However, hosting the portal in the cloud does not mean that customer data is transferred to OCI or to another country. When a user opens the portal, the browser only loads the portal’s web interface (for example, the login page) from OCI. After that, all portal operations are made directly between the user’s browser and your on-premises PortaSwitch system via the PortaBilling API – so customer data remains within your infrastructure.
For example, even if the portal is hosted in an OCI data center in Germany while your PortaSwitch is located in France, all customer data exchanges occur within France and are not stored in or routed through OCI.
However, if you enable the optional middleware (used as a proxy between the portal and PortaSwitch), its location becomes important. In this case, customer data will pass through the middleware host. Therefore, make sure its deployment location complies with your data-residency and security requirements.
Integrations
Can we connect the CloudPBX Portal with the external system we are already using?
Yes. You can use UI plug-ins to integrate the portal with external systems such as CRM and order management platforms. A UI plug-in consists of application files that define the structure (HTML), appearance (CSS), and logic (JSON) of custom panels. You can also add custom widgets, e.g., a live-chat window connected to your CRM, by embedding a JavaScript snippet. Users can access your embedded apps directly from the portal without switching web pages.
Portal branding
How can we brand the CloudPBX Portal?
You can deploy the CloudPBX portal under your own domain name, brand with your logo, and define your brand’s colour scheme for the navigation interface.
Can we brand the CloudPBX Portal for a specific reseller?
If you work with sales partners like resellers, you can brand the portal for each reseller or billing environment owner individually. This includes deploying a separate instance of the portal with the reseller company’s logo and name, and adjusting the color theme to match the reseller company’s branding guidelines.
Interface administration
Which languages does the CloudPBX Portal support?
Currently, the portal supports English, German, Ukrainian, Thai, and Brazilian Portuguese. More languages can be added upon request.
Can we customize the labels shown on the CloudPBX Portal to match the terminology our customers are familiar with?
When deploying the portal, you can upload a JSON file with your custom labels to override the default labels in the interface. The portal will then display your preferred terms (for example, “users” instead of “extensions”). Contact the PortaOne Support team to obtain the file with the portal structure in JSON format.
