Permanent credit limit
This is the customer's credit limit. Once this limit is reached, PortaBilling suspends the services for the customer. This prevents the customer from going into overdraft.
Typically, you define the customer's credit limit when you create the customer. Here you can change it or set a limit if you didn't do it before.
Temporary increase
Unfold this block if you need to temporarily increase your customer's credit limit, e.g., to grant access to the service based on payment confirmation details even if the payment did not yet arrive. The maximum amount by which you can increase the credit limit and the maximum possible duration of this increase depend on the limits defined for you as an administrator. The default limits are defined on the Configuration server web interface via the Max_Temp_Credit_Limit and Max_Valid_Until options.
Specify the credit limit increase either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the current limit. In the Valid until field, specify the date and time for when an increased credit limit value will automatically revert to a permanent state.
When the credit limit is temporarily increased, you can see the complete information about the current credit limit on the top of the panel.
To delete the temporary increase in the credit limit, click Remove temporary increase.
Warning thresholds
Unfold this block if you need to define a credit limit warning threshold for the customer. Specify the warning threshold either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the credit limit amount. When the customer's balance reaches the threshold, the customer receives a notification.
To define several thresholds, click Add .
To delete a threshold, click Delete .
