There are two approaches to codec management in the routing plan. You can set that all codecs are supported by default and forbid some of them as exceptions. Or you can specify that all codecs are forbidden by default and select some of them as supported in exceptions.

Supported

Select a checkbox to set all codecs that you receive from a vendor as Supported. These codecs will be sent to the called party as suggested by the vendor.

Forbidden

Select a checkbox to set all codecs that you receive from a vendor as Forbidden. These codecs will be removed from the codec list suggested by the vendor.

Exceptions

To add exceptions to the list of supported or forbidden codecs, do the following steps:

  • Codec – Select a codec from the list.
  • Policy – This field shows whether a specific codec is supported or forbidden. This field is read-only.

To add more codecs, click Add d2zCeOqAVsUz7RBnDCyOu13W3BsgqfklijjG47HmdzCk3N0AAAAAElFTkSuQmCC.

To delete a codec from the list, click Delete vWDn4NvtBq01htEUQoBzjjiOvz0C3gGdJvvLEjNeLQAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==.
